Pony Trip – Equus 3 – The Field Of Flesh

By Richard Godwin

Emmanuel woke and looked at himself in the mirror.

He looked at his thick lustrous black hair and the manner of his face and considered he would lure women to the farm.

That he would craft their sexual tapestry with his lust and bring them to heat.

Nothing To Kill Or Die For by Copper Smith

It was the weirdest job I’d ever taken. No double-crossed thugs, no unpaid loan sharks, nary a cheating spouse to be seen. Just a creepy loner who needed a bullet to the skull before he could push into motion a sick plan to make the world a lonelier place.

Nyquil Dreams by Veronica Marie Lewis-Shaw

In the space of a single heartbeat, I am transported from a deep REM sleep to sitting upright in bed, wide awake… heart thudding in my chest… hands reaching out… fingers clutching… trying to grasp a remnant of the dream before it is gone.  Too late… again… only a few tiny shards left on the floor of my consciousness, waiting to be deciphered, puzzled into something coherent.

Tuna Fish Special by Perry Nardone

Angie and Figa, my hated siblings had front row seats as I was marched to the kitchen sink. My father, fat Remi held my arm securely as he led his cow to slaughter. He poured a long glass of water and set it upon the counter. He opened the plastic bottle of Bayer aspirin and set two down. He then Continue reading Tuna Fish Special by Perry Nardone

Death Takes A Snow Day by Cindy Rosmus

“Yeah!” they all cheered, as Hank stumbled in Bar 13.

In a snowstorm like this, only the diehards came out. Tina had just three customers since 3 P.M.: twitchy Speed; Ringo, the bald biker; and Carolyn the crack whore. And now Hank.

“The more the merrier,” Tina said.

And meant it. She was sick of these clowns. Hank was the nicest of all her regulars.
